Today’s look is all about the transition to fall. When I’m out shopping I’m always thinking about how I can make pieces last from now until fall/winter. This navy dress is a perfect example of a great transition piece! For the first look I paired the dress with wedges and a turquoise stone necklace, which is perfect to wear now. For the second look I simply added boots and suddenly I’m ready for fall! Are you ready to make the transition to fall? What pieces are carrying you through the transition?

Summer is winding down and I’m trying to get one last wear of all my summer skirts. For today’s look I’m featuring this purple linen skirt that is super comfy and girlie. In the first look I added a neutral sheer button up and gold bubble necklace. For the second look I wanted to add a pop of color, I really would love yellow with this skirt but being an Alabama fan it’s way too close to football season for that color combination. Instead I opted for this teal tank for a punch of color. Which look is your favorite? Do you wear your football rival’s colors when it’s this close to football season??

Today’s look is all about this abstract print skirt. I love any piece that has multiple colors to pull from so it makes it very easy to make several looks with one piece. For the first look I added a bright lime green top with a rosary style necklace to tie the whole look together. I love the brightness the lime top brings to the outfit! For the second look I pulled the darker green colors out with this kelly green short sleeve top and a simple gold necklace. I am definitely favoring the lime green for this skirt just to keep it fun. Which look is your favorite?

Today’s blog post is all about my favorite pencil skirt. I know this skirt might remind you of your grandmother’s china pattern but that is exactly why I love it so much! In the first look I paired a cobalt blue top and what I consider to be a smaller statement necklace. For the second look I want to add a pop of yellow to spice things up. I threw on a blue necklace to pull from the skirt but I’m not crazy about how it turned out. Which look is your favorite?

Today’s look is my favorite color combination, black and white! For the first look I added a peplum top and simple black shoe to really make this black and white print skirt stand out. For the second look I tried the current trend of mixing patterns. I love this trend and usually pair stripes and polka dots and used the same theory of “one bold pattern and one understated pattern” for this floral print and stripe combo. Plus I added the black and white shoe to really kick this look up a notch! What do you think about the “mixing patterns” tend? Which look is your favorite?

I traveled to Dallas over the weekend and was inspired by a look I found on Pinterest. The weather was HOT in Dallas so shorts were a must. On Sunday we had a late night flight so I knew we would be spending the day around Dallas before flying out. The first look was my version of the inspiration outfit from Pinterest and was comfy and perfect for crushing around Dallas. The second look was a quick change for the flight home, which I knew would be freezing. The maxi skirt was super comfy without be frumpy and I kept the same top from my day look to make things easy. What’s your favorite travel look?

Today’s post is all about taking one dress and making it work two different ways. The first version is a casual look but could still work for a bridal or baby shower, I paired this nautical look dress with a bold gold chain necklace and flat sandals to keep things simple. The second version I dressed up with nude pump, a waist defining belt, and my favorite gold initial necklace. This version could take you to Sunday morning church or a dressed up brunch. I usually prefer anything with heels but for this look I actually prefer the sandals. Which is your favorite?

This top is a no brainer for me, I’m already thinking about what items in my closet are going to carry me into fall and I know this is one of the key pieces. I first paired it with white skinnies, nude wedges, and a turquoise statement necklace for a “now” look. Next I took the exact look but made it for fall. I added gray skinnies, snakeskin heels, and a gray statement necklace to tie it all together. To top it all off this is one of the MOST comfortable tops that works for all body types!!! Which look is your favorite?

The Willow Tree

Today I’m partnering with The Willow Tree to feature some looks available at thewillowtree.com.

Game day is just around the corner and this look is perfect for the season opener! (Which is always HOT in Alabama!) I paired the Bama tank with a white bandeau and grey denim cutoffs. I added cowboy boots for fun but the look would also work with sandals. For the War Eagle tank I styled it with crochet shorts and boots. I’m a Bama girl myself and only for The Willow Tree would I put on orange and blue!! Both looks are comfy and cute but I have to say, “ROLL TIDE!!!!”

I’m such a sucker for black and white so this striped skirt is just perfect for my wardrobe. The first look features a peplum top that makes the look more feminine. I added the gold statement necklace just to give the look a little detail. The second look is a little more edgey with a denim top and gold studded belt. I paired both looks with my Kate Middelton inspired black wedges. Which look is your favorite?
