Today I’m featuring more chartreuse! It’s been one of my favorite colors this season and I think it’s going to continue for fall. The first look of course includes my favorite accessory the statement necklace. This look is simple but put together and what I think is a great color combo. The second look features my second favorite accessory, the infinity scarf! This scarf actually inspired the coral/chartreuse color combo for the entire outfit. The scarf also helps the outfit transition into fall while still keeping the colors bright. Which look is your favorite?

Chevron, chevron, chevron. It’s everywhere! And guess what..it’s sticking around for fall! Today I’m showing a little variation of the chevron top. I like this pattern because it’s not quite as bold as some of my other pieces. If you’re like me you need pieces that can be versatile in your wardrobe. This top works great for work or casual. I first paired the top with a pencil skirt, of course it doesn’t have to be as “matchy” as this look. I do like the monotone effect but pairing it with a neutral like khaki would be adorable too! The second look I love because it’s so easy but still looks really put together. It’s perfect to throw on your favorite jewelry pieces and head out. You could also do a denim skinny or jegging here with a flat or a heel. Which look is your favorite?

It’s Monday so I’m brightening things up for you guys today! My first look is all about the yellow! (Which happens to be my favorite color!) I also added a pop of pink with a statement necklace just to kick it up a notch. This look is perfect for those Monday mornings when you are not quite jumping for joy to get back to work, it adds a little pep to your step. What I like to call “caffeinated clothing.” The second look is toned down a bit with the neutral gray tee but still has an added spark with the yellow necklace. Which look is your favorite??

Today I want to showcase the maxi dress. I’m only 5’2 1/2 (yes, the 1/2 is very important) but a maxi dress actually makes me look taller! And I love anything that helps elongate me. plus most maxi dresses are so easy just to throw on and go. Here I’m showing my version and some inspiration maxis. I wore this one out to dinner with my husband and some friends this weekend and it was perfect for a not too hot summer night. What are your thoughts on the maxi dress?

Just as a little added bonus I’ve decided to add some statement jewelry pieces I have my eye on. I’m not quite ready to commit to any of them yet but as soon as I find the perfect outfit I may be adding to my collection. What do you think?

Happy Saturday!! Today I’m bringing you two casual looks, one for summer and one to help transition into fall. The first look is perfect for summer and can be dressed up with heels or more casual with flats as shown here. The second look can transition you into fall or if you’re like me and you freeze at restaurants, it can work for a date night in the summer or fall! Plus I added a pop or turquoise (always my favorite) with a statement necklace that gives the top a different look. Which look is your favorite??

It’s finally Friday!! My first week of blogging is in the books and I’m so excited to be getting feedback about what you ladies want to see. The number one request seemed to be where to find the items I’m featuring. So today I’m partnering with The Willow Tree to show you a few items that you can purchase yourself!!

I haven’t jumped on the patterned palazzo style pants bandwagon yet but when I saw these Aztec print beauties I just couldn’t resist. I first paired it with a sheer flowy black top and bandeau. To keep it from looking too frumpy I did a small tuck in the front. Next, I wanted to brighten it up with a little color and this turquoise tank seemed to be just right. Plus I was able to throw on one of my favorite statement necklaces. Which look is your favorite?

In my world leopard is a neutral. I pair it with every color in the rainbow, including denim today! I’ve been looking for the perfect leopard pencil skirt and I was so excited when I recently found this one at JCPenny. I love both of these looks and choosing between them came down to the season, since its still summer I have to go with the eye catching pink! But the denim will for sure be making its appearance closer to fall. Let me know what you think!!

Chartreuse has officially become my favorite color! I love to pair it with leopard print and you’ll see that coming up soon. Today I’m pairing it with a top that I purchased without having a clue what to wear it with, I just knew I loved it. The two don’t actually “match” but I think they compliment each other nicely. Sometimes the outfits that don’t “match” but just “go”end up being my favorites. I tried this look two different ways but I love the defined waist the belt gives. I’m what would be considered a “straight” body type so anything that gives me a defined waist usually looks best. Let me know what you think!!

Don’t know your body shape? Here’s a great link to figure it out!

This is one of my favorite skirts for work wear. I love turquoise so any way I can get it makes me happy. I always pair it with a white top and a turquoise statement necklace but am trying to step out a little with the gray top. Plus I got to try one of my favorite new trends, wearing two statement necklaces at once! I still favor the white but I think it has everything to do with the necklace. What do you think?
